The over 3000-year-old Anantha Padmanabhaswamy idol is made of 7800 kg of pure gold, 780,000 diamonds and 780 carats of diamonds. Its current value is estimated to be in the trillions, but experts and judges have said that its true value is impossible to estimate.
A team of experts from France was invited to evaluate the idol but they returned in surprise, as their value could not be estimated.
